Galbraith has promoted 12 members of their team across the business and made one new partner, David Hurst, who heads the Morpeth office.
Galbraith is a limited liability partnership headquartered in Edinburgh, with 29 partners and a staff of 175, based in 13 offices in Scotland and the north of England.
The Firm offers the full range of property services from residential agency to commercial property, building consultancy, forestry, estate and farm management, renewable energy and utilities advice.

David Hurst has been made a Partner and will also take on the role of Head of Rural Operations, with a particular focus on the north of England, assisting Ian Hope, Head of Rural. To further support the team, Sheila Horne has been promoted to Executive Assistant to Ian Hope.
Strath Slater has been promoted to Senior Associate, while Alex Davies and Sarah Hazzard have been made Associates.
The seven members of staff promoted to Senior Surveyor are Calum Chalmers, Sarah Hall, Josh Lamb, Katie Marr, Jack Marshall, Rose Nash and Georgina Weston.
Callum Kerr has been promoted to Marketing Manager, assisting Marketing Director Jane Ritchie with all aspects of the firm’s marketing activity including its partnership with Edinburgh Rugby, corporate communications and social media management.
Galbraith also announced that three partners are retiring from the firm. Tim Kirkwood, who joined Galbraith in 1992, is a well-known rural partner and estate manager in Scotland, particularly in the Highland region. Tim was CEO of the firm for 24 years until 2016. Chris Addison Scott has worked for Galbraith for over 40 years since 1981, as a rural surveyor and land agent. Simon Brown has been with Galbraith since 2005.
