Having enjoyed a strong presence in Fife for a decade, this move to new prominent premises within Cupar signifies another positive step for CKD Galbraith.
Mike Reid and George Lorimer, partners in the Cupar office, officially open their new office in the town centre.
George Lorimer, who heads the agency team in Fife, offered an insight into current market trends and the very encouraging performance of the county's property market over the first three months of 2016. The firm reported a 71% increase in the number of properties sold and a 23% rise in the number of properties brought to the Fife market compared to the same quarter of last year.
The Fife lettings market also experienced a very positive first quarter of 2016 with the number of lets secured by the Cupar office doubling and the number of properties available to let rising by 35% compared with the same period last year.
George Lorimer, partner at CKD Galbraith's Cupar office, said:
We have enjoyed a great presence in Fife over the past 10 years and have really increased our market share dramatically over the last two years to become one of the leading estate agents in the region. The launch of our new Cupar office is testament to our long term commitment to the Fife property market where confidence is now much higher than it was only a few years ago. Property sales in the area are being driven forward by rising demand for quality rural homes within commuting distance to main towns and cities, with competition remaining strong amongst buyers willing to act quickly when they find the right property.
CKD Galbraith operates a network of regional offices located throughout the country and figures for the firm as a whole during the first quarter of 2016 demonstrate healthy growth and significant movement of home owners throughout Scotland. The firm has reported a 29% increase in the volume of sales achieved compared to the same period last year, with 36% of buyers coming from across the UK reflecting the wide appeal of the Scottish market.
